ok i need advice about a dog?

ok i went with my mom to pick out a french bulldog from a breeder..its so cute and only 4 weeks old..she picks her up in like 3-4 weeks..ok well this woman is moving to florida and has like 3 boston terriers and 2 of the french bulldogs.(mom and dad of the litter my mom is getting her pup) now the problem is that this lady for some reason is giving up the mom and dad for adoption and was like if you know of anyone let me know..so i was thinking i can take at least one..but i have a boxer at home that is so well behaved and wonderful..and fh thinks its not a good idea but he will def leave it up to me..now this lady is giving away a mom and dad who had their first litter together and selling her pups for $2000..my fh thinks there is something fishy here..i know they have soooooo many health risks..i mean big ones..he cant believe that this woman would give away 2 money making dogs..and keeping her other ones..im torn..its a cool looking dog..and free..and my baby would lovvvvvvvve to have a friend..but i know its alot of work also..but can someone give me some advice? my fh says there is no such thing as a 'FREE'dog..hes had a free boxer before..and it was a nightmare..please help!!

There are so many different reason why she might not want to take them....they could possibly have just been $$ makers to her and not pets so she feels no real attachment.
If you want to take one...you should ask if she would mind if you take the dog to the vet 1st...so you know what you are getting yourself into. If she doesn't agree to that...then it seems like she is hiding something.

I agree. take the dog tot eh vet.

It's entirely posisble that she just isn;t itnereste din breeding anymore, needs to find them a home quickly nad doens't expect to find anyone to take both and breed them. And aside from breeding purposes, it's hard to find a home for an adult dog, so maybe she's just happy to find them any home as quickly as posisble. Best of luck

A free frenchie?!? That's crazy!! Those dogs cost $2,000 easily. I would see how much she wants to give her away her 'free' dogs. If the offer is legit, I would jump on it. They make great pets and you would have no problems finding placement if you decided you didn't want him/her.

My Dad grew up with a free dog, a Puli. Pulik are VERY expensive dogs. Rightfully so, because Dad still says Robbie was the best dog he ever had. Anyway, I agree with Marymoon, take the dog to the vet to check them out. If the dog's healthy, take him/her.
