Ok I need some brutally honest opinions

i already ordered a cathedral length viel that im totally in love with but i've always thought of myself as a birdcage viel bride. so i was thinking of getting an inexpenisve bridcage viel and wearing it for the reception (i was going to take off the cathedral viel after the church service anyway) is it weird if i have 2 viels?

also for the record no one in my circle likes the birdcage, i tried some on for my mom and sisters when shopping for the dress and they all hated the look and i already know my FH is not a fan of anything covering the face but i just love it so much should i go for it anyway? will it look strange if i put on a brand new viel for the reception?

i just cant stop staring at birdcage viels on etsy!

Absolutely not strange AT ALLLLLLLL!!!!!! You seem to REALLY LOVE them. I would so do it. They are stunning!

if you love it...go for it!
IMO i would not wear the birdcage for the entire reception but even if you get it and take a few pics while wearing it, it will be worth it

Not strange - do it. But bc FH isn't a fan - maybe don't keep it on the whole night. Do it for lie cocktail hour or something like that? HTH

I had the same issue noone was on my side with the birdcage so I got an cathedral veil but I never thought bout changing for the reception..I say go for it!!!

No way, you can totally change into one! And if FH really doesnt like it, you can always take if off half way thru the night when the party starts getting crazy!

I had the same delemma myself! I went with a mantilla catherdral length veil and then doing a feather/crystal hair piece with possibly some mesh fabric for the reception.

I think it is totally fine to have 2! Personally i would not wear a birdcage all night, but you can do it for pics and your entrance!

i do not think that is strange at all!

plenty of girls wear 2 veils, especially when their first veil is a cathedral

if you like the veil and can pull it off then do it!! you only get married once!

i think they are really stunning when a bride can pull it off
