I am ready to not have favors at all! I can not find anything I like that is reasonably priced. I want to give something that people can use. I am having my wedding in a garden, so I was thinking of flower seeds or bulbs, but everyone shot the idea down. Then I was thinking of hand-held fans that would be given out during the ceremony...and can keep everyone cool. I was also thinking candy, but I can't find anything I like that is reasonable. Anyone w/ any ideas?

You could make a music CD of your favorites love songs...that's pretty inexpensive.

I think the flower idea is a great idea!
you can purchase favor boxes at www.papermart.com, and buy Hersheys Kisses which are not that expensive. you can make boxes of chocolates

one idea that i thought was cute and i actually use, our friends did a mini recipe book of all their fav recipes, had it printed at kinkos and bound, and it had pictures of them/family/friends thru out......it was so cute and reasonable

We are doing Lindt chocolate truffles from the outlets and they are very reasonable.

i second the donation favor idea... we did it for our wedding last june ( the livestrong bracelets), and even almost a year later, a lot of the guests are still wearing theirs- you can't say that about many other favors. and even if they're not wearing them, at least i can say the money wasn't wasted

I don't know how much you want to emphasize the garden idea but what about giving saplings (I think they are $3 each): give the gift of trees
there are also some interesting garden related ideas here: organic weddings

Maybe a bud vase? crystal flower? (I'm trying to think 'Garden') If you can get out to the tanger outlets in riverhead check out the mikasa and lenox outlets you can get some good prices and discounts there.

I just bought wine stoppers off ebay for $1.35 each + shipping. They come wrapped and the seller even makes tags for them. All I have to do is put the tags on.
