Ok, I think I am officially neurotic!

I put a 'hold' deposit (whatever theat means) on my dress at BR in Carle Place last Friday....and I am SOOO happy b/c I love the dress!!! But, yesterday I realized that I didn't ask them when it would be ordered, when it will be in, when the swatch will be in, etc. I also started to then worry 'well b/c it's so early and my wedding is still 14 mos. away, will they hold off placing the order for a few months, and then FORGET to do it????'

I was SOOO excited and happy that I found my dress, and then I ruin it for myself by obsessing about this stuff! I kept myself up last night until 4am worrying!!

Am I the only neurotic bride to be?? Is this what the next 14 months are going to be like?!?!

I am the same way. Why don't you call and ask them to place the order now? This way you know it is ordered.

You aren't the only neurotic Bride to be by any means!! I think we have all fretted over something til 4am! So, you aren't alone. The next 14 mos don't have to be like this if you learn to trust yourself on certain decisions and learn to sorta say 'F--- it' on others. It WILL work out.

But I agree. You should call them and either ask them exactly WHEN they intend to place the order (so you can call them that week and make sure they did). Or ask them to place it now for peace of mind.

I think I will talk to them this Friday...I have an appt to try on my dress to show my sister...and I am going to write all my questions down ahead of time and bring them with me to ask them. They might think I'm crazy, but.....I AM!!

personally, i think we're ALL neurotic in some way!! this whole website is like a neurotic club. i love it!! i feel so sane coming on here, b/c all of us are going through the same thing!!

def. call them, and get it ordered.. youll feel a lot better. i ordered my dress in march 04 and its not in yet.. although, i am totally not worried, im just cutting it close, it should be in late sept. early oct.!!

so dont worry.. we're all here for you AND your neurosis!!!

I too can be neurotic at times. I feel bad for my FI.

But, I still think THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

I will never look at a wedding the same way again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really have to say that it feels strangely reassuring and comforting to know I am not the only neurotic one out there!!
