Ok, in need of serious advice

Ok, in need of serious advice

I know I had been complaining about my neighbors. I complain to do it sometimes, I never really call the cops or the office, unlike last week's happenings, but that was a legit emergency and I got to meet people and got a plate of cookies.

ANYWAY

the lady across the hall is nuts. last night, at about 1:30, I was woken up by slamming doors. My fan and my a/c were off, and usually that muffles out a lot of noise.

Pissed off, I mean, REALLY pissed, I open my apartment door, and I am about to bang on this lady's door to tell her to shut up, and guess what happens....my door shuts behind me and I lock myself out. I am half naked.

I hobble to my friend that just moved in the complex across the court yard from me and woke him and his girlfriend up in a frantic, called the complex to get a locksmith out, and they didn't show up for an hour.

I shouldn't have even gone out there, I know, and then i couldn't bang on the door being that I had to sit outside my door, but I heard everything through her door. She slammed some more, banged on her ceiling at the people above her, and was yelling 'I've had it tom, people have no respect'.

My blood boiled but I did nothing because I still had to sit out there.

but there has to be something we can do legally to get them evicted or fined so they get the point. I am going on 3 hours sleep today and I am running ragged. I don't need this crap at all.

it sounds like she's having neighbor issues herself with the people above her. maybe the same thing is happening to her! i would talk to her about it rather than getting her in trouble and ask her to perhaps call the building on the people she's having trouble with instead of waking up the whole floor. if it keeps happening then i would call

I would absolutely call the office and let them know. Especially if you don't feel comfortable confronting your neighbors yourself (I know I wouldn't). Once you speak to the people at the office and you know for sure they have spoken to the tenants and it still continues then my next move would be to call the cops

here's the thing...I did talk to her about it for the last months, and I believed her, because the people above her are rather large and they do walk with a bit of a stomp. but she admitted to me to bangs back, and I said politely that it may not the best thing to retaliate, just keep calling and complaining other wise someone else could hear just you and you get in trouble. This is the woman in 1-F across from me, and I thought I did the right thing by giving her that advice.

The super called me 2 weeks ago and said the people above her in (2-F) called this time on the woman in 1-F. I actually introduced myself to the couple in 2-F, and asked them nicely what was going on. they have a baby, so she said every time she gets up to tend to the baby, the floor makes noise and she tip toes and that's when it starts. The new people above me don't hear the couple, I don't hear them, I only hear the woman throwing a temper tantrum. 2 wrongs don't make a right.
