Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

While I think the stands are pretty I don't think they are me. I am thinking of possible doing something simple-so I was wondering if you can all can help me with some pictures. I have been looking but really haven't seen what I wanted.

Ok I can't decide if I want low or high centerpieces. I was thinking of maybe Tall glass vases with trumpet lilies or other tall white flowers. Or short round or square vases with stones in the bottom with cala lilies. (This morning on today show they had them in the background) Then I was thinking votive candles around the base

I wish I could help you I am going through the same issue myself... I love the tall vase with lily idea...

Well, if you are indecisive like me you can do half and half! I had high centerpieces and low centerpieces alternating. (Its also a way to save a few pennys while still getting the room effect of the higher flowers)

I don't like those high ones either (even though FH does, maybe we'll do alternating tables, but i don't really want them). I really wanted flowers in a fish bowl, but someone said since the tables are long ovals, i should have the wide centerpieces (which i don't like either) So i guess i'll just have to meet with florists and see what they can offer.

Valenia - How did the alternating look... look?? Do you have any pics? I love the idea I just need to see if it will work in my room.

Re: Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

sorry karen, i just looked and we didn't take pics of the centerpieces... see what happens when the man holds the camera at a wedding? LOL It looked nice cuz it wasn't too much! (like if all of them were tall) see if your hall or florist has pics of that.

Re: Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

I actually just called my hall. The receptionist said that the tall CP's look great and the short ones look too short if they are too low... (duh) Maybe I will do the alternating ones. It sounds like a cool idea

Re: Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

The only problem I see with a short cp's is that you can't see the people across the table - whereas with the tall ones you can

Re: Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

I think i may cave and do the alternating thing too... i'm doing a search for cp's like that now. If they are all low it may make the hall look too plain and empty.

For a different idea - we are doing white ceramic pitchers filled with roses. It might obstruct views across that table, but not so concerned about that right now. I'll work with the florist so that it doesn't do that. (Maybe put them on a base so it raises it from the table somewhat.)

Re: Ok Ladies Centerpieces different

If they are short enough you can still see the people across the table. We were at a table with a short one and there was no problem seeing anything

Rob-luvs-me - The short ones at my wedding were low enough that people can see over them. They were just slightly taller than the water glasses.
