FH wants to ask his Dad to be the best man, which I think is really sweet. We were talking about it and I asked him to talk to his mom to make sure she's okay with that b/c that means they're not going to be together for most of the day. He's going to be with FH at the altar, and then with us taking pictures in the park and they're not going to see each other until the reception. FH said that his mother will just come to the park with us when we take pictures. I don't think that's fair! I would love for my parents to be there but they can't b/c they're having everyone over after church, and usually the parents don't come along. I've never been in a wedding where the parents come to the park, let alone just the groom's parents! It's usually for the bridal party. Am I wrong?

I think both parents can come. Maybe yours can go back to the house and join you later for pictures.

If the park is close by can your parents go to their house to greet everyone but then leave alittle early so they can meet you at the park to take pictures. Is there someone they can count on to close up the house?
