ok ladies time to share!!!

Share your ideas here for your big day! things you want to do or thinking of doing. I pretty much have everything pictured in my head. I know how I want my ceremony to look so here goes.
I know what BM dresses I want and the color. The girls will have cirus roses and I will have light roses with stepho....oh i dont know how to spell it!
For our centerpieces we will have a bed of sand with shells and candles around with three small fish bowls with beta fish. And for favors we will have mini pails with m&m's. Our place cards will be sand dollars and I will write the guests name on them. I want a chocoalte fountain but dont know if we can afford it. I want a personalized cake topper but have to see how money is.

That sounds great!

I want my wedding to be formal and winter themed, with a few fairy tale, disney elements. The last song is going to be 'wishes' which is the song from the firewors at disney world (he proposed right before the fireworks and WDW is so special to us), but it's the ballad version that is played as you leave the park after fireworks, which is alwyas emotional for me, also, i know it's sort of cheesy, but right before the song starts, since it's what they play as you leave WDW, Jiminy Cricket says something about
'We want to thank you all for joining us and making our gathering so much more magical.' It's so perfect!

I have so many ideas. I have then written down in my 'wedding book'.

My BM dresses will be from alfred angelo in hunter (MOH) and celadon (BM's). my gown will be from alfred angelo also (starting that next month).

instead of a sign in book I was thinking of a wish bowl. decorate a glass bowl i have at home and cut out index cards and people can write down good wishes for our marriage.

For our first dance we are dancing alone. the bridal party will not join in. our first dance song is either 'Here and Now' by luther vandross or 'through the eyes of love' by melissa manchester (movie-ice castles).

the majority of the reception will be traditional. throwing of the bo-k and garter, cutting the cake, etc.

we have no specific theme.

marymoon-i like your fairy tale, disney idea. sounds like fun.

I want understanted elegance - whatever that means in my mind! I just want my guests to be able to 'feel' that it's a classy affair. I'm going to go with an underlying theme of beach / outdoors / family / friends. Nothing over the top - just a flavor.

we don't have a 'theme' in mind, but we know that we want a laid-back affair. just get everybody on thedance floor all night long.

I want a comfortable formal and classy wedding. :)

BMs will be in black with a bright flower bo-k. I'd prefer candles to flowers to the centerpieces, and we aren't having a theme.

i'm doing candles instead of flowers too for my centerpieces. i was thinking floating candles with some of those jewel rocks at the bottom.

i just wanna have a big fat party.

I don't really have a theme, but I'd love to be able to get the aisle runner from the original runner co that says 'And they lived happily ever after'

I also loved how Royal Brass (trumpeteers)sounded at a Bridal Expo and booked them for ceremony music. They give the ceremony a 'magical' feeling.

Picture of the runner in the link below under portfolio

Re: ok ladies time to share!!!

Our theme is a winter wedding. I have already picked out my dress from Alfred Angelo. It's strapless and white. I want the bridesmaids to wear either blue or red. I was thinking they could chose from a few styles. We are thinking of having a winter wedding. I went to visit the Milleridge Inn on Saturday and LOVED it! The Christmas decorations are lovely! I thought about placing sprigs of holly on the table to complement our winter/Christmas idea. Our wedding song is 'What Would I Do Without You' by Ray Charles. I haven't really thought about flowers or anything else yet!

As a fellow winter bride, let me ask you......since it will be really cold, are you giving the BM some kind of cape or something? Are they wearing their regular coats when they leave the church and get in the limo?? I don't know what to do.

It depends on the length that you need. I have to find out how long the aisle is at the Riviera before I call for a price quote. A 2004 bride (I forgot who) FM'd me that she had an extra long church aisle so it was about $600. The length she mentioned is probably three times the length of the Riviera aisle so I am hoping that the price will be at least a third of that as well. I'll let you know when I get a price quote.

Can't beat the Milleridge at the holidays! They do such a great job with the decorations and total atmosphere!
