OK ladies -- What are you getting WAXED!?

OK So I was thinking to myself last night.. shaving leaves stubbles for an italian girl like me. I was thinking of getting my armpits (ew I hate that word) and legs waxed.. anyone ever had experience with that? Should I just buy a sally hansen thing that handles this that I can do in my own bathroom? I'm going to get my lips and eyebrows (obvi) but I also want to do some removal of some of the light peach fuzz I get on my face too.

Thoughts??

I'm doing eye brows, face, lip, chin, and probably armpits for the wedding. For wedding night I'm getting a brazilian, just not sure when though!

I get a brazilian, eyebrows, lip, and my chin every 4 weeks so I plan on doing the same before my wedding.

I'm doing eyebrows and then a first time Brazilian. I also thought about getting my armpits done but want sure if I should just try nair or something.

JamieLin I'd suggest starting the brazilian waxes now than starting right before your wedding. It takes a few times for your hair to get adjusted to it and get on the same hair cycle. The first time some of my hair started growing in right away because of that. Also, I highly recommend going to European wax center and if you do, def buy the 'slow it' body wash. It's expensive but worth it, when you wax down there the hair gets very soft and that increases the chance of ingrown hairs. By using the body wash it prevents ingrown hairs and helps the brazilian waxes hurt less.

I am waxing full legs, brazilian, under arms, lips, eyebrows, just for the wedding and honeymoon I might do full arms.

Any place specific I should go for lips, eyebrows, under arms and face?? I don't want anyone to mess me up! I know they say to do it a week or 2 before the wedding and just keep up with it with a tweezer.. how far is everyone going before their wedding?

I was super scared of the brazilian too, the lady at the wax place talked me into it. I won't lie, it hurts, but when you see the end result its totally worth it. I'm getting waxed on Thursday and my wedding is on Saturday. I don't break out or get red and I've been waxing for a long time so my waxing tech said that would be ok.

I go to polished in blue point I go for brazilians here and there now. I plan to try to do them more regularly from now till the wedding. My eyebrows and lip I do once a month. The arms and underarms I am going to do the week of my wedding.

Do not do it yourself. You could end up with burns or leave it on too long and rip your skin off. Trust me, I tried it in hs when I was young and stupid and my 'bff' convinced me. Bad news. I get a Brazilian on the reg and it's really not that bad. Just find a place that knows what they're doing. I go to eauropean wax center and I like it there because A they all speak English and B they don't use strips. Definitely try it out before your wedding once or twice. You just never know how your skin will react.

I'm doing eyebrows bikini and legs. I have tried the sally Hansen before and it literally burned my skin. I get a wax all the time. I'll be going 3 days before my wedding :)

This!!

I started going to the EWC in Commack for brows and she totally talked me into starting the Brazilian! She told me it takes about 4 waxes (so figure about 4 months) for your hair to adjust so I've already had 2. I got for brows and Brazilian about every 4-5 weeks. No more than 6. I don't get red or break out and I am in awe of that!

Definitely don't do a first time wax for the wedding! you want to see how your body reacts!
