I would like to see all the stuff you talented ladies can do/have done, DIY, etc.!!!! Knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, anything in furniture design, perhaps some DIY outside of wedding oriented, but I'd like to see both!!! Pics, please!! Mary MOB

Mary they are all swarovski crystals set by hand. Much like ice skater's costumes, the more sparkle you have in the arena, the more you stand out to the judges

Sorry girls, I was working on laundry!! Wow!!!! So much talent!! Sharon, I really like the pink flowered design!!!! Christine, wow, you're multigifted for sure!! How long have you been sewing and painting? And cake decorating too!!! Heather, you're another DIY whiz!!!! I knew you knitted, but I didn't know you used a loom. Is it easy? Love the baby blue knit set!!!! Colleen, I think if you have a flair for cake decorating, I wonder what other artistic talents you have! Perhaps you haven't even discovered them, yet!! I'm like Christine and Heather, in the centerpiece/ floral design. I never knew I could do stuff like that until, I tried. Brianna, you totally have my admiration because I'm not gifted in the cooking realm. How did you attach the ribbon and brooch to the candle? Hot glue everything? Or is the brooch sewn to the ribbon? Did you make anything else shown in that album? Mary MOB
I used a hot glue gun. It took a few tries but I finally got it right. I burned the edges of the ribbon slightly with a lighter to keep them from fraying.

Those cakes look great!!!! I'm a chef but I want to learn how to cake decorate for real. I can use a pastry bag really well but it's hard for me to get the first icing coat to be smooth. If I got that I know I could get the detailing. My best friend/bm is really good at cake decorating, she took some classes. So she'll teach me how to decorate and I will teach her how to cut up a chicken.

Wow, you're braver than I am. First I wouldn't know enough to burn the edges, and secondly, if I tried burning anything, the whole thing would go up in smoke!! Mary MOB

Meg, I didn't know that sparkles attracted judges' attention, but it certainly would attract my attention!!! Where do you buy the crystals? It must take a lot of time to decorate all those outfits!! Meg, do you ever ride your horse down my way, ie. Lancaster? Have you ever seen the Lippizaner Stallions? Here's a video link to see them!! So beautiful!!!!! Mary MOB

Haha! I used to dance and it's a trick we used for pointe shoes so the ribbons didn't fray when you were attaching them to the shoes. I haven't done the burning in a few years so good thing I had extra ribbon...there was some black edges...I basically just needed to melt them. I was thinking about doing the Wilton class for the cakes...I think after the wedding.

Melody!!!!!! Oh my!!!! How did you begin the purse making? Really neat!! How do you do them? Admire all your creative endeavers!!!! Mary MOB
hey! thanks! I actually got the cigar boxes for free from my local cigar shop. the one with the real dragonfly one was the only time i came across one with a clear front. I got the beads for the handles at M&J trim in NYC and strung them up with copper wir, drilled 2 small homes at the top of the box for the handle, and attached the beaded handle through the holes to small fisheye hooks inside the top of the cigar box. then line the boxes with padded fabric and decoupage the front or embellish it or cover it with fabric with a hot glue gun. it was fun to do.
