OK LADIES...need some advice....

My DH and I are on an extremely tight budget this year for xmas...(we are house hunting)..
I was working on making personalized 2005 calendars for our family members...only its turning out to be ALOT more work than I expected...

could you guys Pleeeease suggest some other alternative gifts that are inexpensive yet nice...

Cookies!

If you have Windows Movie Maker (comes with XP) and DVD burner you can make photo slideshows, add music and burn to a DVD.
I am doing this for my greatgrandmother next year (because I don't have enough time to scan 1,000 pics before Christmas this year).

we thought about that....my DH actually made one of the baby's photos to send to his dad in PR...but it takes so much time to make...we can't do it now unfortunately...
that's what I get for waiting till the 11th hour..

Why don't you offer to have everyone over for dinner?

Not sure if you are going to like these ideas....

When I was in elementary school I learned how to make a wreath. It came out really good so my mom let me make them to give to our family members from me. People stil use them!
Take a wire hanger and stretch into a cricle.
Buy large clear plastic bags and tie the bags around the hanger.
We just added a red bow to the bottom, but I found this website with a similar project.
Wreath

There are also recipes online for making your oown Christmas Ornaments Here You can do it as simple as clay and cookie cutters. My mom made ones smelling like cinnamon one year!

what about some picutres for each of them? you could do the 29cent ones from your local drugstore and put togther either an album (they have some nice ones at the dollar stores soemtimes!) or just a frame with the pics. you could also just write them a letter about how much they mean to you....what we just did for my co-worker who lost her husband this year tragically, we all wrote on squares of paper and then rolled them up, tied them with yarn and created a 'because we love you bag' (it was full of things we admire about her, why she is so special, memories we have of her, etc) - she loved it! or create coupon books for everyone (you can even do them on a computer!) for cleaning of their home, washign dishes, etc - silly things....
