so I asked you about CPs and got a lot of great feedback (thanks ladies)... now its time to talk dresses...
ok for the longest time I was inlove with this dress... but when I finally located one and tried it on.. I didn't get *that* feeling... but when I got home that night I opened a magazine and there it was.. and I got *that* feeling... but ever since.. I don't know, I don't want to order it then HATE it...
soooo.. skip ahead, last night I'm watching a re-run of 'what I like about you' and its vals (first) wedding and I see this dress and at first I liked it.. but the detail isn't exactly my taste.. but I love the style. love the style .
I don't know what to do.. keep looking or order the dress from Marys? I don't have a lot of money to spend on a dress. Mary's really fit the budget.
but if any of you ladies aren't busy, I'd love to see pictures of similar dresses if anyone knows of any. so please supply some links or pics

can you keep looking at macy's or was that the only dress you liked there?? have you tried any other bridal salons? i'm sure you could find a dress that looks similar to val's in your price range. you'd probably have to search a little but i'm sure its doable.

oh no, it wasn't macys (did I say macys- oops lol) its Mary's bridal and yes, I've been to a BUNCH of places.. just nothing felt right. so far I've been to: camille la vie- NC Village Bridal- Babylon The Wedding Center- Commack some place in Huntington (can't remember the name, but I LOVE them there- just no dresses that got me) centereach bridal bay shore bridal RK bridal davids bridal (lake grove)
I think I might go back to some of those places again soon, its been almost a year.
I just wanted to know if anyone knew of some makers that have that kind of style, but with a different applique.

Have you considered going to Kleinfelds? They have sooooo many different dresses.
I dont think you should buy a dress just b/c you like the picture if you didn't like it when you were wearing the dress

One thing I learned during my shopping- do not limit yourself to one brand. Whnever you go to try on dresses, let the people there know what your budget is. I'm sure they have other designers in your budget!
Anywho, the dress I think of when I look at that one is a Maggie Sottero dress. http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?pageSize=100&style=V7091
ETA: What about the Bridal Garden in NYC? They're all donated dresses so I'm sure they're reasonably priced.

You should definitely check out RK Bridal again. I have been there twice already and picked my dress. They have a huge selection under $1,000 and i think it is much better than DB.
