Ok lovies- questions on tanning

Ok lovies- questions on tanning

I am a nice pale Irish girl. I typically turn a nice shade of red in the summer

I was hoping to do a spray tan before the wedding, just to get a little color on me. Not the step-in-a-booth kind of spray, like the person with the spray bottle.

Where should I go? I will be living in Manhattan by the time the wedding rolls around, but I could also do western Suffolk

Should I try it first, like in May?

How far ahead of the wedding should I go for the wedding application?

TIA!

I don't know where to go, but YES try it beforehand. You want to know what shade is right, and how far in advance to do it!!

You can actually buy the spray tan gun at CVS for like $20. I have one that I used RELIGIOUSLY last summer and I was never orange or streaky! Like this, then you can test whatever part of your body you want, and at any time!

HTH!!

I did it at beach bum tanning. The girl did a really good job. I def suggest going once before hand, so you know if you should go a shade darker or lighter. Also, so you know how many days in advance etc...

My best friend is Irish and light skin and she went to Beach Bum for a spray tan before her wedding and it looked great! Only problem is it ruined her dress....inside was full of spray tan after the wedding...

Well they never show THAT on Toddlers and Tiaras!

Does it usually rub off?

For spray tanning definitely do a test run ahead of time. I've never gone myself, but I think FSIL used Beach Bum Tanning. They do custom airbrush so it's not like a machine doing it - a person actually stands there and sprays you so it's applied evenly. Her tan looked great on the wedding day.

It's still at my mom's house, and I don't remember off hand ... I can definitely tell you though, that it was not like your standard Jergens or Neutrogena! It may have even been 'as seen on TV' ... its usually either on the very top or very bottom shelf in the skincare aisle.

Beach bum!!! Love them I'm going on friday for my wedding tan. If you get it on the inside of dresss which if you sweat you will they should be able to remove it when you clean and perserve it. I'd def go a few weeks before to see how light or dark you want to go.

I did airbrush at Beach Bum and I don't think I will ever do it again. The first day it looked really good but my duvet bedding all got spray tan as well. It does rub off even after taking showers. I did this on Thursday and had my dress fitting on Saturday and it also ruined the inside of the dress. By the third day, I started getting orange. I really wanted to do this for my wedding but I think I'm going to pass.

I have no advice, I am also a pale (read: pink) Irish girl, and I don't tan, but for the record, your skin looks like porcelain in your bpics, it's gorgeous!! I'd just stick with that!

I LIVE for those 'as seen on TV' products!!!!!!! Ive tried Jergens and it works but after like 7-10 days I start to look dirty and the color is like flaking off of me like a dirtbag hahaha
