OK-need advice on BM dresses- Please Read!

For my BM dresses, I will be having each girl in an entirely different dress: some patterns/prints, some plain, different materials, and different shades of the color orange (light, dark, mango, tangerine, etc, etc- you get the picture).

My headache is this: I dont know where to begin! I casually have looked while looking for my dress and looked a lot online, etc. but I dont know how to actually coordinate this look. I know that a lot of designers have most of their dresses come in most colors but I really dont want 7 dresses in different styles but the same designer. But its all getting so confusing and jumbled for me to look everywhere and jsut know they all go...

What is you advise on how to look? And who to bring? Should I schedule one day for each BM and search woth that one until she finds the dress and then go on to the next?

Please help me ease this headache!

Ok...I'll try to help...but I'm a little bit confused. Do you want the dresses all by the same designer or you want them by different designers? Or, does it matter?

I think that you should just be able to go into a bridal salon...one where they carry lots of lots of dresses and see from there. Just find out if the dresses you are looking at come in those colors you'd like.

Have you looked at the dresses by Thread? They are a little on the expensive side...but I know that they have dresses that are different but coordinate.

try watters - i know they have a bunch of colors if you want the same designer (i'm a bit confused as to what you meant too)

i like your idea!

Sorry about the confusion...see I am always doing that!

I would prefer NOT to have the same designer for all the dresses. I think it would be a much better look to have different designers.

See, for example: I went to Bridal Reflections and they had practically all of the Jim Hjelm dresses, which I was told all come in orange. So many were so nice. But I feel like its not so orignal to have one desinger and was not so excited.

Is that a little clearer....???

I would find a store that has a big selection, then bring a few bms. maybe 2 or 3 at a time and tell them to pick a dress (or 2 in case one doesnt come in the right color) that they like and will feel comfortable in. Explain to your BM's what you want to accomplish (ie each girl in their own dress but same color just different shades) I am sure that you will be able to find what you are looking for. And the sales people may be able to suggest an alternative in the color you want, if your BM picks out a dress that is not available in an orange shade!
Good Luck

Kelly-Thats a good suggestion but I do feel like most salons carry just one or two designers...

Do you know of any stores with big selections? Anyone?

Sorry...I know that doesn't help you much...

Yea, I probably will- need to try to coordinate with them in the next few weeks.

Any other suggestions?
