Ok, need tourist help (Long Island to Boston to Portland, ME)

We plan to leave early (need to drop kitty at vet) and get to Boston Quincy Market in time for lunch, maybe do a trolly tour? We have dinner plans already for 8pm in Portland for Lobster.

Jim will be stuck in Portland for Friday and Saturday. Any suggestions for him.

We will (of course) have our own vehicle.
