I think that's the salty dog...and there was that other place I went to for a while that I won't admit in public...

And Zios...where the men had no necks and the women all stood around trying to look pretty...

LOL. We used to go there also in college before we were legal.

That place was shuttered after a 19 year old ran over a group of 17 and 18 year olds in front of the bar after someone hooked up with his girlfriend. They found out he was drunk, as was the group standing on the corner....I think they closed like 2 months later.

Theresa, Sally Os, you have me going back! I used to go there all the time, gotta love the underage bars. I am a Queens girl, so I was also in The Bridge, Tim Hickeys and Briffinis all the time. I have so many totally wasted pics from Sally Os! I cannot believe they made that place into a Mexican restauraunt.

Oh yeah...it was loooong after I graduated from college that happened. I think it was like 5 years ago.

Unmentionable? Hmmmm...you're not a victim of CLUB RIO ARE YOU?!

Re: Ok New Post Favorite

You poor thing. LOL.

The average age in that place was 47. A bunch of old angry divorcees and a lot of men in light gray suits.

Re: Ok New Post Favorite

THATS IT!!!!

LMAO!!! My girlfriend used to drag me there EVERY FREAKING THURSDAY for about 4 mos. because she saw this guy and kept going back week after week just to see him... people would ask us where we were going and we wouldn't tell because we were embarrassed!!!

But I never had to buy myself a drink!

So many memories in this thread.

HS - Went to a lot of clubs and teen nights..mostly in Queens and LI and NYC. Paleds, Avanti's, Jams, Emerald City. There are a few others I can't remember the names right now.

College - made the move to mostly bars - The Bridge (of that made me laugh) and the Tavern were pretty popular. Pretty much all college bars that use to be on the Upper East Side (they are all gone :( )and the bars on Bell (a couple in Forest Hills too and I can't think of the big one we use to go to). I knew bartenders everywhere I went - when I first started wokring in the city after collge my co-workers couldn't believe it!!! If I hung out with my hs friends and went dancing we did Limelight and Palladium and still the old standy by of Avantis.
