OK now that I am at 100 days...

OK now that I am at 100 days...

...I sort of feel as if every step we take or plan we execute from here on in gets me nervous and makes me wanna hurl. I have no doubts, no regrets, no jitters.

In my head I am thinking:

'Mrs. Somebody. I am going to be Mrs. Somebody. 200+ people are going to look at me, point, ooh, aah tell me I look gorgeous (whether I do or not - gotta love it) and I am going to be Mrs. Somebody.'

Anyone else go through this? This is serious business people. I am going to be a married woman. Mrs. Somebody - HOLY POOP!!!

Thus concludes the end of my mental breakdown.

Yes I went through that when the invitations came in the mail & I did the final list! I can't believe in less then 5 months, I will be married to someone & it will no longer be 'Just me' I have to cook & clean for someone else now

I am happy to do it, but nervous at the same time!

It didn't really hit me until I found the dress of my dreams. All of a sudden I was overcome, it felt really real while that dress was on. You're right, it's serious business and a lot of responsibility!

Um, yeah. I have a sign on my desk with my name, and last week my fiance came in to pick me up for lunch and pointed to my nameplate and said 'You have less than a year left to have that name.' I totally paled! I am changing my whole identity! I am doing something I thought I'd never do - I AM GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!

I feel that way sometimes, tho I'm not at total meltdown stage yet. It's still early for me tho, I'm sure I'll start freaking out more when we get closer. I think it's a lot bc of the holidays too. Last Thanksgiving is when we got engaged, now next Thanksgiving I'm going to be a WIFE!!!!!!!

It's just so WEIRD!!!!!!!

First of all you NEVER lose your identity simply because you may change your name. You simply add to it or enhance it. Many women lose themselves in their husbands and thus become so dependent and live very empty lives. This is why I never liked the Jerry McGuire line 'You complete me.' To me, that implies one of them is incomplete or part of a person. who would want to marry someone who isnt all in one piece. a better thought would have been 'You compl E ment me.' When you complement someone, you work along side with and share with them. thats the kind of marriage I think we all want. Then there will be plenty of room for compl I ments.
