well...in order to have an outside ceremony, it has to be early oct.
10/2 is open...I love the date bc it's my BDAY...and no one can complain bc hello..it's MY bday.
is that a bad idea? I'm so screwing myself right? lol

Re: ok RH date
We purposely scheduled our wedding away from EVERYTHING else, cause the whole family has their bdays and anniversaries before July is over.
But that's YOUR judgement call. Maybe it just means bigger, better presents

nooo, it's perfect! I bet your fh will love it too since it's only one date to remember in the future!
I don't see a problem with this at all...guests just better remember to add a lil sumthin sumthin to the wedding gift to include your birthday!

Re: ok RH date
I wouldn't want to share my bday with my anniversary.
Maybe I'm just a brat?

Re: ok RH date
hmmm i have to say i personally opted not to plan my wedding on my or fh birthday (or any other family members day for that matter) and the reason why is, my grandmother and grandfather got married on my grandmothers birthday. my grandfather passed away 2 yrs ago and now when her birthday comes around it is also her anniversary and she gets very depressed. i decided to keep all happy occasions separate...it just means more things to celebrate! why share my day when you can have 2 special days??!?!
I am a fan of oct 2nd though...its my sisters bday too!

I don't think its a bad idea. As long as you don't care I think its fine. If you are talking about getting 2 presents from FH one for your anniversary and one for your birthday maybe that won't happen but do you really care?

Re: ok RH date
i payed atten ALOT to the weather in the last 2 October's...end of Oct was beautiful! still nice and warm...so if you are worried, it may be something to consider.... we were away the end of Oct (out east) and one of the days was in the 80's

Re: ok RH date
honestly... the only people that get me anything for my bday are my parents and maybe my sister... so at your age having something on your bday isnt really going to matter... its not like youre 12 and would be missing out on presents ... i would definitely do it

Re: ok RH date
I would do it! And tell your FH he has to get you 2 gifts because it's 2 holidays, even though he only has to remember 1 date!

Re: ok RH date
oh FH is ridiculous w gifts. I'm not worried about that.
I don't know why, but I kind of like having it on my bday...like it's really MY day I guess...and NOT the DIVA's. lol

Re: ok RH date
I would want the 2 celebrations to be separate, but that is just me. If you want it that way and it makes you happy, please do it!!!!!! What concern do you have about it?

umm...just that it's weird? I dunno. The RH prices drop on 10/1 and so it's perfect that I love Oct and the earlier the date in Oct, the better luck we should have w the weather.
It's on the water.

Here's a weird question...well maybe.
FH and I have decided to get married in October.
1 - bc it's Halloween month :)
2 - bc it's not really hot
well...in order to have an outside ceremony, it has to be early oct.
10/2 is open...I love the date bc it's my BDAY...and no one can complain bc hello..it's MY bday.

I am getting married Nov 6th and I am tryiing for an outdoor wedding. I am doing an early ceremony of 11:30 soo hopefully it will be warm enough for ppl to sit outside for 1/2hr otherwise I am stuck doing it inside. But I don't think you are screwing yourself on your bday. If you don't mind having your wedding date on your bday then go for it.
