ok so

we were supossed to pick up our puppy yesterday they told us they want their vet to look at her and the vet would be in today so I called like they said today and NOW all of a sudden the vets not in today...
I get put on hold for at least 5 mins and now its oh the vet had an emergency so how about next friday?....
I was like we are taking her to our own vet...then its well she still needs one shot still.
We called our vet and it turns out cheaper when you get the shot there then the visit will be free.

Sooooo I call them back and say we will take her to get her own shot it will be cheaper for us and NOW of course all of a sudden the dog is still too small to leave ummm NO she will be 14 weeks I know for sure thats a lie!
I am so upset
We have been putting money down and visiting her for over a month.
My mom thinks its all too shady and something is wrong with the puppy.
Just had to vent I just want to cryyyyyyy...

Re: ok so

Are you getting the puppy through a breader? If you have been paying her already and the puppy is over the 14 week mark she has no grounds stating that you can't have it.

thats retarded.

Sorry to hear ur getting stressed about it. Only good things should happen when it's about a puppy

I LOVE LOVE LOVE dogs and want like 5 of them (in an ideal world with a big house and backyard) but perhaps getting it from a puppy mill might not be the best idea

Re: ok so

if you do decide to go through with it i'd get a copy of everything from the vet. EVERYTHING

4 years ago i got a 'tea cup' yorkie from a breeder and he was sooo tiny i loved him. Brought him to the vet and whatever. So we brought him back to the vet 3 months later and all was good. But the vet said that he didn't wanna say anything then but my puppy appeared to be underfed by the breeder to make it smaller to see it at a tea cup price which is $$$$. He thought the doggie wasn't going to make it but it turns out he ate and he was fine. Now my teacup is now 8 pounds lol

Just be careful

I'm sorry to say but I've heard horrible things about Sportsmans Kennel. My mother works in the dog business. The dogs get sick all the time from there.

If you are paying for the puppy then it is yours...unfair

I hope it works out!!

Re: ok so

that sounds like a shady situation...can you go down there again? insist on them giving you the dog then and there. do they have some kind of policy where if the dog is sick within a time frame you can bring him back?
the kitten we adopted...we had 2 weeks to bring it back no questions asked

Re: ok so

the two week policy sounds great, but after five minutes im attached!! I would start paying for whatever to help the dog and go broke before I gave it back!

yea we have 14 days to bring it to our own vet which we already made her an appointment so we are just gonna have to settle to wait untill next friday or wed since thats when the person in charge will be there.

I dont either the fact that I am giving them all this money is annoying to me but we were just stopping to look but you know how that goes lol. Honestly we were in no financial situation to buy a puppy so we really didnt think that we were going to actually get one.
