SOOOOO FIL's are meeting my parent's for the first time on Sun!! My mom is making dinner at their house!!

i will never forget the first time my parents meet FMIL. it was FH's prom (2000) & after we left for the prom FMIL just stayed at my parents house talkind & they all went out to dinner.
I don't think my parents will meet his parents until the damm wedding...

if you're parents are anything like you... i'd be nervous as well.
They are actually the opposite....laid back and not so crazy!!!
Just nervous that they'll run out of things to say to each other!!!

yeah.. FH mom and sister came over last christmas for dinner and that was the first time they met. they've met once since for christmas eve dinner.
It was ok.. weird more then anything else

my parents met his father and stepmother a few years ago....they have only met his mother a few times and i would like to keep it that way!

I'm nervous for the first time that my mom meets FH's mom. My mom has already met his dad, but not his mom.

AWWW! I was so nervous too the first time they all met that I sedated myself with wine! But really you'll be ok. Just breathe, and worse comes to Worst, open that bottle of wine, pour some glasses and loosen everyone up a bit.

my parents and fil's met really early and they get along really well, we have dinner at eahc others houses every other week, so im really grateful
but dont be nervous!!!! itll go awesome!! good luck

I was nervous about this too but when it happened my parents met her whole family and they got along very well just like I'm sure you're parents will with his... Both sets of parents know they have to be open to these new people because they'll be around the rest of their lives...

dont worry. there will be plenty to talk about. at least they can focus on wedding mumbo jumbo. and then you will have a baby there for distraction too! perfect! o yes. and wine. mmm.
if the folks arent big drinkers, i suggest making a specialty cocktail in advance. its harder to resist trying something that you already spent energy making with an interesting name i know i cant!
