Ok, so after some thinking, these are my conclusions about FMIL, FFIL and FSIL....
I don't know, lately I have been giving them a lot of thought and just trying to figure them out, and I have realized that they are those types of people that just 'exist'. They have no likes, dislikes, friends, favorite music, favorite place to go, nothing. They are just there. They eat and sleep, except for JT's dad who works. They rarely leave the house. They don't listen to music. They have not been to a restaurant, movie, play, etc in years. They keep the windows and doors shut even when it is a nice day out. They still use derrogatory words for people of other ethnicities/religions. They don't have mirrors in their house to see what they look like. I just am so saddened, yet disgusted by them. Just the thought of them depresses the HELL out of me. I don't know, just needed to share. I just can't comprehend how my JT, so vibrant, funny and unique, came from these people.

Are they happy living this way?? Actually, I can probably answer that question myself when it comes to your FMIL...she sounds MISERABLE. But some people just choose to be ,iserable, and complain, complain, complain. Just glad I'm not one of them!
As for where JT comes from, I'm in the same boat...my FI's father physically abused my FI (to the point that he was in the hospital many times for the injuries), and he hasn't seen/talked to him in about 10 years. His mother was a very uninvolved mother (but NOW she decides to be a parent, after all of her children are grown) and my FI would never, EVER think of laying a hand on me, and he is very involved with my son and looks forward to having another child.
Luckily our men are strong enough to know what they DON'T want to be like, because it's sooo easy just to follow the behavior that you were raised with.

See, I couldn't even answer if they are happy or not because they don't really have emotions either way. They are just even keeled and don't care about anything. I mean, FMIL is bitter as can be, but FFIL and FSIL just exist and have nothing to say about anything. It's so sad. Like, I was at JT's mom's the other day to pick up some pictures and she was going on and on about how much money she owes Sloan Kettering from when she had cancer, and I was just like, ' But don't you think it was worth all that money to save your life? ' And she paused, then went on and on again about what f-ing a-holes they are and who do they think they are... Not only that, but I found out that JT's mother(this is totally unrelated) apparently has befriended a man in jail for murder. She talks to him on the phone and sends him boots and shirts and other things AND she goes to visit him once a year She won't even drive to visit her OWN SON! And from this one murderer she has befriended many of his cell block mates and receives mail and drawings from them. Now, does anyone else see a problem with that? What the F?

You have my complete sympathy. I can't stand to be in the house with them either. They make me SOOOOO depressed.

Please, get them far, far away from me... anywhere but here. Sometimes I wish they arent' going to be at the wedding (I know that sounds mean, but OMG the things that come out of my FMIL's mouth!!!)
FSIL is getting better now that she doesn't live here and she and I get along sooo much better - she is even my MOH and she is planning my shower
I have the same problems with FMIL - on and on about $$$$ and then she goes out and spends HUNDREDS of $$$ on ShiT at target and walmart and dollar stores that WE DON'T NEED. And god only knows the way she embarasses FFIL with stories about his surgery and all sorts of horrible personal details about him and FH.

OOOh they seem very spooky to me. Almost like something out of the Twilight Zone?!?! Stay far away from these people, they sound like they may try and eat you one day!LOL
