The one that Mom and MOH aren't crazy about... they say it looks too 'antique-y' and that they picture me in something 'more modern'....

I was reluctant to post it but I want your opinions...

What do you girls think??? Please be honest, I can take it.

It will be in white with silver accents (this sample is in ivory with gold accents). And please don't mind the excessive boobage, it won't fit that way up top if I actually get it.

BTW -- Lidia's boutique is the BEST! They have been wonderful to work with thus far!

honestly, I think it is STUNNING!!! I think its SO different and unique.... I think you can totally pull it off

besides, everyone's 'dress of their dreams' is relative ..as long as you are happy, that's ALL that matters!

It's definatey a victorian style but if you like it than that's all that matters. You need to be comfortable and happy since you are the one wearing the dress all day...

The gown is very beautiful, romantic, sexy & you look great in it. Who's wearing it anyway? You or your mother? Tell her if she doesn't like it, she should be happy that she's not wearing it. I just don't understand why a mom would throw water on her daughter's happiness. I was shocked that my daughter chose a gown that seemed so different than the kind I thought she'd choose, but I'm thrilled that she's thrilled.

I agree that it is a bit antique-ish looking. But like I say 'your wedding, your rules' As long as you love it that is all that matters.

the dress looks nice but you have a great figure and probably get something that doesnt cover you up so much. looks like alot of material.

It is a more romantic style. What type of dress were you lookiing for? Do you think this dress suits your personality?
With all due respect to your family, it doesn't matter what they pictured you in, it's what you want, and what you feel comfortable in. Do you feel beautiful in that dress? How does it make you feel to imagine yourself walking down the aisle in that dress?

I think it is beautiful!!! And you look beautiful in it. Yes, it does have an Elizabethen quility but I think that is awsome.

I think that there is too much fabric on the dress. I like more skin showing. It is also old fashioned looking IMO. I would also worry that I would be hot in October in a long sleeved shirt especially once I started dancing.

However, the dress is pretty and looks nice on you.

Thank you all so much for your comments and honest opinions...

I think part of the problem I have with it also is that I feel a little too covered up in it (like some of you mentioned).... I guess if it's the one, I shouldn't have any doubts so that probably means this isn't it. Sigh. The search continues....

it has a romantic look but its a beautiful dress infact it looks like a gown that my FH wants for me.... you should wear what you want its your day anyway.... i def like it
