OK so I am down 1 BM

OK so you think since I have such a large BP (12 girls) I wouldn't notice if one was missing.....

Yesterday a close friend called up and bailed on me. She couldn't really give me a reason other then she felt uncomfortable. I am OK with it I would never want anyone to do anything that makes them feel uncomfortable but I am still sad....

So since I already have the dress and the BM gift I asked my brothers girlfriend whom I wanted to ask from the get go but didn't because we had too many she was excited and said yes

So I guess all is well excited for the newbie but bummed about the lost one

Sorry to hear that. At least she was upfront about it. FH was in a wedding where one of the GM's wasn't going to show on the day of. Other GM's picked up his tux, dragged him from his house, he was there for the church and the CH and then bounced before the BP Entrance.

So - are they similar in size? That's great if she can use the same dress...what are the odds...

Luck is def. on your side...it's odd that she didn't say anything sooner... Odd. Did she already get married...Did she know everyone else in the BP?

Yes she is married but a quick at city hall plan to have a reception at a ;ater date kind of deal. She didn't make any mention of not wanting to do it until yesterday.

And she totally knows everyone in the bp

That's awesome that the dress fits....guess it was meant to be. Glad to see you were able to ask the other girl since you wanted to from the beginning.

Hmm...that IS just odd... I would try to find out why...maybe not just right now.. but over time. Just doesnt make sense...I would be bummed as well...

I am sorry to hear that. But like you said, it is better to have her back out then not really want to be involved. And everything happens for a reason! It worked out in the end and now you have your soon to be sis in law in your wedding!

that stinks.. im sorry your friend bailed..but honestly you really dont want someone to be a bridesmaid who isn't 100% into it... I'm glad your bothers GF was so excited to be a part of the wedding...at least everything worked out.

Wow... you are really lucky though... they are the same size!!

I'm sorry for this... I dont get why she didnt elaborate more, but like the others said, it is better to have her not involved when she doesnt want to be!

Maybe she is having some of her own personal issues that have nothing to do with you or the rest of the BP. Either way, I think it's great that she was at least up front about it. I can tell you HORROR stories about how people have dropped out of wedding parties.

Anyway, it's great that you have a replacement and don't let this get you down babe!

Sorry to hear about that but it was very nice that she was honest about it. You still have others so it will still be great and at least she will still be at your wedding!
