Emailed East Winds to see if they can send me pics of this mysterious Veranda Room that I have heard mentioned, yet no one seems to have ne idea about. So HOPEFULLY I will finally be able to get some info. UGHHHHH!!!!!!!! I hate trying to find a hall!!!!! I think this is the worst part about planning a wedding!!!!!
I was soooo set on having the wedding on the beach at the beach house I found!!!! But then my guest list shot up through the roof b/c my Brother had to knock up his new g/f and now he is getting married in 2wks, and he turned around and invited ALL MY DRIVERS FROM WORK!!!!!! I wasn't going to invite them b/c we were gonna keep the wedding really really small, BUT b/c he invited them they r all expectin an invite to my wedding!!!! The best part is my brother doesn't even know them! he only knows OF THEM b/c my father and I work for the same company! So i guess i am just a LITTLE peeved!

You don't have to invite them...it's a different event...they don't know who's paying for what and if they have the balls to ask, give them the ol' 'due to budget and capacity issues, it's limited only to family and our closest of friends'

exactly. just b/c your brother is inviting them doesn't mean you have to too.
the wedding is YOUR event, if you want it on the beach and you want to keep it a small affair, you have every reason to do so!

I really can't thu, thats the prob. We are a small family owned company, and my dad already warned me that it will create issues among our friends/employees if i do that. So i am kinda screwed. But it is like an additional 20ppl. I know that is not alot but when u r planning a wedding, it cost alot! lol! But i work very close to these ppl, and they do no that my bro is paying for his and i am paying for mine (BOY DOES MY DAD NO HOW TO OPEN HIS MOUTH HUH?). And most of them already assumed they were coming, and i gavee them the above excuse, and they were hurt by it but understood. But now that my bro did what he did, everyone is expecting the same. and my dad is really pushing the issue b/c he doesn't want to insult ne one b/c these ppl have been really good to us.

its a beach house but they want more money like $11,000.00 total for that many ppl. So i am better off getting RH.

Is food & beverage included with that price? If its more people the per plate cost should drop... see if you can negotiate by splitting the extra cost with the beach house; at the end of the day - i think they would rather try to suit your budget then lose your business or possible profit. Did you put a deposit down yet?

i am having my wedding in the veranda room at eastwind and have pictures of it on my home computer (im at work right now). i'll make an album of them tonight so you can take a look at it. it's beautiful!

No it was just the house, we had to do everything, that is why we were gonna just do family and a few friends, but now things have changed UGH! But thats ok b/c i was in touch with the BM at east winds i was working with so we r gonna see what he can do for us.

O I know! another girl on here Heather, sent me a bunch of pics and it is really pretty. So I am gonna go back dwn there, chk it out again, and see what happens. But both FH and I love East Winds, and we love the Vineyard too, but the Vineyard won't come dwn on their min # ppl as much as EW will.

my FMIL is going to give us a list of people we wouldn't have invited. We prob don'ty know any of them! We've already told her, any people she adds after our list is done, she pays for!
Can you ask your dad to help. He owns the company right?

Nope, we just work together. If my Dad owned this company i would not have ne money issues AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! he should own it tho, the owner likes my dad better than his 2 sons who r running it!!!
