My computer has been down since I walked in this morning so I have no email, no programs, nothing. I called an hour and a half ago and no call back. My boss is also out today. Why am I here

We had that issue at my office a few weeks ago. One day the system was down because we where installing new server & new computers. Another day it was down because the new installation didn't finish completely. It was such a headache.

can you leave? or do you have to be there to answer the phone/be presently there if someone has a question?
