OK so I went for my 1st fitting and...............

I HATE my dress! I haven't been on because I have been trying to figure out how to fix this dilema!

My GUT told me when my ex friend went out and bought my dress to get an new and i didn't and now I wish I did!

I came out and my Mom gasped and said the dress is too short! I felt it but was hoping I needed to be adjusted slip crinoline etc.... Even after that i was still too short.

First they talked to me like I was nuts then made it some how my fault that it was too short. They told me it wasn't to short when they should have been saying calm down and we will do whatever it takes until your happy. Guess what? No one said that.

They told me to wear no slip. and shorter shoes so now my slip and shoes are null and void!

They told me they can let it out from the middle.

I wasnt comfortable so i took it to Gina on Long Island Ave and they wre anazing with me they told me that it absolutely can NOT be let out from the middle as there is NO material.

They gave me alot of helpful ideas on how to make it work. Not to metion they don't charge an ar and a leg either!

So hopefully they can make me happy in the meantime I have been searching for sample sales etc just in case!

I need a hug I am so upset!

OH NO!!!! I am so sorry! I would go back to the salon where you got your dress and raise hell and tell them they are morons for not knowing how to take measurements!!!!
See if they can take it back and get you a new one.... (i am sure you have tried this and they said no)

Call up a bunch of salons and ask if you would be able to buy any of their samples if you like it. OMG, I am so sorry this is happening to you!!!! Where did you go? This way we can trash them for being idiots!

Look at the bright side.... You get to look for THE dress again. Cheer up, you will find a gorgeous gown that you love.

WHAT???? seriously, where did you get your dress from? i would demand to speak to a manager... i can't believe they treated you that way!!!!!

I did speak with the owner and not much help there..... I am beyond devastated! I jknew this damn dress was a bad omen! Thatnks for the hugs and support girls!

WOW I'm really sorry to hear that, i hope everything works out. Two weeks ago Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills had a sample sale, I dont know if it is still going on though

I'm having the same issue with my dress! Mine is too short too!!!

At first I tried it on with a slip and it was waaaay too short - but even without it I can't wear heels. At least I didn't buy any shoes yet like you did.

I hope you can figure something out!

That really ***** and I am so soryy. I do know that the owner of Bridal Suite in Huntington has a whole bunck of sample dresses that have been discontinued, that she is trying to get rid of. I am sure if you go there and tell her your dilemma she might be able to help you.

Just a suggestion if the dress thing doesn't work out for you....

They can get a new dress for you. My FMIL's father was a dress maker so she grew up in the business. There was one time when a fire burnt down an entire store and they needed to get new dresses overnight and it was done. You have time and they can do it. Raise hell and demand a new one. Why should you pay for something that is not what you ordered? Threaten them if you have to. You make enough of a stink, you'll get it.
