Ok, so now I dont have a flowergirl...(long vent, sorry).

I am going to try and make this short and sweet. As some of you know my FSIL isnt in the wedding so she decided since the day we got engaged to be a B**** about everything. The final straw was when she set out to ruin my shower last weekend and told people she wasnt gaining a SIL she was losing a brother, also she questioned why my only nephew from my only sister was there (hes 11mos and couldnt have been more of an angel). My sister and mom paid for the whole shower who is she to ????.

Anyway, last Sun her and my FI got into a fight calling me all sorts of names and accusing me of things I didnt do (she is an alcoholic and terrible person and she did this with his ex and her other brothers wife). Anyway I walk into the house and we argue and I said things like go get counseling, learn how to parent, etc., so she told me that I couldnt use her daughter as a Fg and my FI told her she wasnt welcome at the wedding. I thought this was done too hasty, but yesterday she told my 10y.o. stepdaughter to give me a message that I am a F'ing B and that I better never go near her kids again.

The bottom line today is after thinking everything over, I am sorry my FI cant have his sister or her family at our wedding but its not my fault and its not my fault his only
g-ddaughter cant be in the wedding. Am I wrong to feel this sense of relief?

It's unfortunate that this will affect your relationship with the SIL's kids but if I were in your shoes I would be glad too.

I'm really sorry it came down to this.

She sounds like a headcase. I say good riddance.

If your FI knows how crazy she is- I am sure he understands.

Don't worry about it. She has a bug up her a$$ when it comes to you. She must be jealous of you since your a stable person. I feel bad his goddaughter won't be there. I think its for the best. Who knows what would happen if she got drunk at your wedding. Your day might be ruined.

Well, the fact that she told your 10 year old step daughter to give you that message, doesn't say much for her. It is truly unfortunate that your FH can't have his own sister attend the wedding and be civil, but maybe it is for the best. If this is how she is acting now, imagine what she could do to try and ruin your big day. She sounds like a very jealous person! Sorry you have to go through this!

sounds like its better off that way, instead of having to deal with stress closer to the wedding(like her pulling the flower girl the day of)

They do say Weddings bring out the worst in people at times and I'm very sorry you are dealing with such a situation. She definitely needs help. It is sad she uses other people(especially children) to engage in that kind of behavior. It speaks volume of her state of mind. I always look on the bright side of things. I always say you might not see the good at that moment when the situation is happening but ALWAYS something good comes out of everything that seemed to go wrong. Sad that your FH won't have his sister and Goddaughter there but perhaps this might be a blessing in disguise. And as your wedding date gets closer, the less stress you have is the better. Perhaps this incident will help reflect to go and get help. I send you and hang in there.

I can't believe she said that to a ten-year-old!!! She has issues!!! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this -- that woman sounds awful!!!

You're better off. She'd probbaly cause a scene at the last minute or something anyway.

I have family memers who haven't been speaking since Easter. When my mother first told me, she said, don't worry, they'll still all go to your wedding, and I was thinking ' Don't do me any favors!'

They are close relatives, ( grandpa & an uncle who happenes to be MOH's father) but if they can't behave I'd rather not have them there.

(So far they are both coming though, and just ignored each other the 2 tiems they had to be at family funcitons together. )

That's terrible. I feel bad for the girls in this situation - she's so immature to take it out on them!!

You seem to be handling it well though. Good luck with the situation!!
