Ok, so this afternoon my FI calls me to wish me (updated at bottom)

Ok, so this afternoon my FI calls me to wish me (updated at bottom)

a happy anniversary. Today is 3years together. Anyway, while he was talking he tells me he is going to pick me up at 9am to go to the beach Sat. The only problem is in the whole time we have been together, never has he made plans like that, so I know why and tell him that if my shower is Sat (and I know it is ) I do not want to look like hell from the beach in my pics. I think it is wrong to make someone look awful at their own shower and I make sure at every shower I do that I dont do that to them. I tell him we can go to breakfast, shopping, whatever but I do not want to be gross for my shower. Now, I am really upset and dont know what to do.

I arrived at my shower in my pajamas!!! Relax it will be fun no matter what you look like, Relax!

just get dressed nicely....and when he picks you up on saturday, say u 'got ur period' and the beach sounds icky right now...HOney can we just take a walk and have breakfast???

I would just go with it. I agree, no matter what you look like, you will have a great time!

Good luck with that one. Tell him you don't want to go to the beach.

He called me this evening and told me that he was sorry, that if I dont want to go to the beach we wont, we'll just go for a nice breakfast and then we'll find something to do.

I'd love to wear pajamas to my shower! I hate dressing up!

my mom was babysitting for a family friend and arrived in a jumpsuit! Anything goes.

do ALL brides get so suspicious about their shower??

Seems like everyone on this board knows when theirs is....is there a usual timeframe when its supposed to take place?

I hope mine has a cool fun theme- Ive already todl my Fiance that he needs to make sure my mom knows- i cant tell her personally but she will plan a real stuffy by the book affair and i want like a luau or something to that effect.
