Ok so who else is already married?

We aren't- but we are registered domestic partners. We did it so FH could go under my health insurance. He's self employed.

If you are legally married- why did you do it now? A friend of mine got legally married to her FH's so they could get his green card paperwork rollling.

we live together and thru my job we are 'domestic partners' LOL for insurance reasons .. he needs it so i put him under me ... gotta love domestic partner status

Not us... together 9 years...living together for 7!!! Wish I knew about this Domestic Partnership thing 4 years ago!!! FH got let go from old job then and still has no Health Insurance...his new job he won't get till prolly the summer....hummmm I wonder if we can do this now technically I live upstate with my parents
but I work in city at JFK and actually live with FH at his apt........... sooo not too sure how that works then How long does it take???

We are registered Domestic partners also

What does Domestic partners mean? FH doesn't have insurance...is there a way to put him on mine???? That would be awesome!!

We are registered Domestic partners also

We will be too as of January! (For health benefits)

Not officially married, but we have lived with each other for 5.5 years and already have kids and a house and a dog! We decided to go ahead and get married because we always intended to, but never really got around to it. Also.. our oldest son is of that age where he asks questions about it.
