OK... So who is coming....?(UPDATE #4 - 8/9)

Let this be the official headcount thread of what I refuse to call a GTG simply because I call it a 'GOT TO GO' and thats just seriously lame.

The date:
August 11, 2007

Location:
My place - directions will be sent closer to the date. I live about 2 miles from the Queens/Nassau border and 3 blocks from the LIRR if you prefer to take a train.

Time:
I dunno, you tell me. We can go as late as we need to.

You can post your response here or FM me privately.

DH's and children are welcome. I have a room in which we can put up a 'pack n play' or a carriage in the event a lil one needs to sleep. It does not have an a/c but we have two fans.

Republicans may try to take advantage or preferred seating options but will likely be unsuccessful. At the same time, DH would like to use these bumper stickers:

as party favors.

I plan on serving heroes and cold salads (ie. cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad). Please let me know what you would like to bring. If you have any specific food allergies or dietary restrictions that will send you into a tizzy, please let me know so I can make sure you are safe.

I am really looking forward to this ladies. For those of you who have not yet decided what you would like to bring, please let me know so I can fill in the gaps to make sure we are covered. Im already hungry!!!

For mommies bringing babies, I cannot supply um well um you know the 'natural stuff' - you gotta do that yourselves. If only babies ate pigs in blankets!

OK Ladies, we need to pick a time for this shindig. I was thinking around 7. If anyone would like a different time, let me know. Punctuality will not count.

OK ladies, we are in the home stretch. I will be sending directions from all points east (and yes WEST) tomorrow.

Please confirm with me (via FM) if you are listed with pending guests as to whether or not they are coming. If you have not yet responded and you would like to come, you are of course welcome. We do need to order some food and would like to make sure we have enough for all guests.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone.

again as a reminder, if everyone can throw a chair or two in the trunk of their car (except Gracie doesnt use chairs yet), it would be helpful!!!

That's up to you (and Leslie since it's her place). Chel is 10 so she's in the middle of your 2 nieces. Sometimes she can be really sociable with new friends, and sometimes she's incredibly introverted; we never know what we're gonna get with her!!

Well Chel will have her choice of chatty gossipy women or men drinking beer and talking about sports (which is seemingly pre-adolescent behavior to me).

Hmmmm, she'll prob float btw the 2 groups!! She'll find the gossip funny but won't have any idea what we're talking about and she's bored with sports but she knows she's a Mets fan!!

We don't have any folding chairs. So we plan on getting there early for prime parking and seating!!

We don't have folding chairs, but we're planning on bringing 4 resin (sp?) chairs.

Oh, and all the dipping stuff for the fountain is ready to go!! I just need a microwave to melt the chocolate!!!
