OK Teachers....the delays for tomorrow have begun....
Rocky Point and Middle Country School Districts have two hour delays!
(I know I will be shlepping in on time, but I feel like a little kid again when I get to check the delays )

I just hope noone starts badmouthing Bloomberg for keeping schools open. Remember that many people will have to stay home from work to watch their kids and that can effect the economy slightly. Though as a teacher who dives to work, i am terribly frightened to drive on ice. I am fortunate that I have two assistants who I can count on to hold down the fort in Bklyn., while I stay home and eat tacos.

Ahh, yes...the last minute call. I get them whenever we have a delay or cancelation. I'm always showered and about to leave when they call.

No, it's just that all of the roads are icy, and they are saying they don't think they will be better by the morning because of the temperature.
