Ok, that side of me came out...

On the guest list issue.

My FH went to my parents house last night while I was out with some friends because of the guest list number, which I thought we figured out that I am not allowing a plus one since everyone knows the next person.

He talked to my dad alone, which he NEVER really does, and my dad agreed with him that certain people shouldn't have been on that list AND, my mother DENIED that she gave me the go ahead on certain people.

I flipped my lid last night. Cursing, screaming, I didn't sleep a wink.

And everyone tells me not to panic and calm down that people will say no and it won't be the everyone I invited. I CANNOT really retract an invite when the Save the dates went to them. I took the ones off that didn't get one and that was only 14 people.

I'm tired of bending over backwards. I really am.

honestly, as terrible as it sounds, i wouldn't send out invitations to the people who you don't want there, even if they got the STDs. If they ask about it, you can always say that their invitation must've gotten lost in the mail and then add them to the list.

ultimately, just remember that your day will be amazing regardless of these people ... they will give gifts and you can ignore them

Well the problem is, my dad's cousins (only 2 of them, so 4 in total if you include there wives) are 'mad' at him, but how come they do talk to me and DID send engagement cards? Just because they hold a grudge doesn't mean I have to, and it might also be the last time the whole family is together like this...I didn't invite there kids (my second cousins) because I'm not really close with them.

I'm just mad that my FH went behind my back to get to my parents, because my mother just called me a gave me a different story of the conversation that went on last night.
