I have tried Wellness for a month and it just isnt for fred.
He finally stopped having diarrehea but now he poops like 12 thousand times a day and has had accidents in his crate the last two nights.
What other food brand is reputable. He wont it science diet so I dont know what my choices are.
ETA: I really feel like such a bad mommy bc of all of this, what else can I do though? I, looking online to find a list of good foods and I am not comming up with anything

Satchmo is on Canidae. He likes it. You can get it at Pets Supplies Plus in East Northport. You might want to try Solid Gold. Their website is www.solidgoldhealth.com. They make really good products. Innova is also supposed to be good, but it is really rich so I wouldn't try it with Fred. Natura (who makes Innova) also makes California Natural, which is less rich. Their website is www.naturapet.com. There are a lot of good foods out there. Don't give up!

try nutro max...the puppy formula is in a purple bag
You've told your vet about his tummy problems, right? Maybe he has a little stomach bug? And you're not switching him cold turkey between foods? You have to gradually switch or it'll upset a puppy's stomach. You can also put some canned pumpkin in their food - it helps firm up their poop. Just make sure it's plain pumpkin with no spices added. Put a couple of heaping tablespoons in with his food. Or you can also add some poached chicken and also rice.

I have had Casey on Nutro for Large Breed Puppy - and she has been fine on it. Her tummy problems stopped and she loves eating it - maybe give Nutro a try.

yes the vet knows about this and I did the rice thing... it worked for the diarrehea but he was still pooping like wayyy too many times a day
I wound up getting him the nutro puppy formula.... my parents have my rotty on nutro and Fred LOVES to steal her food when we forget to take it out
I mixed it with his lunch and dinner and he seems to be doing good so far!!!

Molly eats Stella & Chewy's which is a raw food of meat and bone meal. I suppliment that with Solid Gold dry food..
Keep in mind, MOST food switches will cause a little poop change...

I just got a pup, the breeder recommended 'solid Gold' brand food. We've had him for 2 weeks and he's never had any problems going to the bathroom/accidents. I told the vet that's what we fed him and she said that it's one of the best brands out there. It may be costly but he's extremely healthy. I also add 'sea meal' supplement and 1 teaspoon of cottage cheese or plain yogurt, it provides healthy fat & protein to his diet. Good Luck!
