ok, so we filled clear votives with candy corn and autumn mix candy corn. we put a nice leaf sticker on the front of the votive and we want to somehow incorporate this into a place card holder. we don't want to wrap them up because that will dull all the work and colors we put into them. it is not our only favor, so i'd rather not crowd the tables with them.
so....does anyone know if you can get just the top of placecard holders--i'll post a pic of what i mean----i don't need the heart part-just the top part that holds the card

I really don't know, but maybe you could make them with wire, or even an orange pipe cleaner to tie into the theme

Possible idea: Go to Home Depot and get copper wire. The easily bendy kind. I think it might be known as solder. They may also carry it at Micheals. I know it comes in silver anyway. Use a pencil to make the coil shape above and then hot glue it to the votive.

I too need just the top for a part of my favor...been looking and have not found much. Was at Michaels today and they did have ' clips'...they were like funky( like the picture above) paperclips that might work...Look around. I am probably going to use wire. The best would probably be floral wire, its pretty strong and is very movable...or where they sell the beads and stuff they have a million wires.

Hey, Alison! I tried to find those too, (just the top part), and couldn't. I think the suggestion to make them might be your best bet! A hardware store should have a large selection of wire with various thicknesses for you to choose from.

Ooh! An idea just came to me! What if you glued or taped the place card to the top of a little twig? And you could even make the card itself in the shape of a leaf. Hmmmm.....but, if you want people to eat the candy, you should probably use fake twigs from a craft store. Just a thought!

hahhaha jessica-you are soooo funny!! You rule!! that is a great idea! thank you! I already have the placecards though so i have to work around them. should I just have NRC place the card next to the votive?! time is not on my side! LOL
