Ok westbury manor girls ... I was there last night!
Hey girls ... Danielle's wedding was amazing. (she is also a LIW bride) The cocktail hour was outside and it looked like it was going to pour at one point but the rain held up thank God!
The cocktail hour food was great and there were a bunch of waiters walking around with passed h'orderves. i feel like i dont remember ever getting that many passed h'orderves at any wedding. I especially loved the penne alla vodka and the italian stations!
Once we went inside, the food was great. They gave us an appitizer of fresh mozzarella and brushutto which was amazing, i dont even like brushutto. Then they had a pasta course which was really good. For the main course, they had seven choices. I was there with three friends so we decided to all get something different and try three different dishes. I love steak and the filet mignon was to die for. it was cooked perfectly and it was amazing and soooo good! the salmon and shrimp was another amazing dish! my other friend ordered the chicken with cranberry sauce ... the three of us did not like it at all. the chicken was good but the sauce was just so sweet and i mean hey ive never had cranberry sauce on chicken sooo i mean who am i to judge.
I booked with the westbury manor and even tho i knew there were two weddings at one time ... what i didnt realize was how close the cocktail hours are to each other, location i mean. i mean they do do a great job of keeping it private with bushes and tress, butttt we did see a lot of other guests and the bridal party. I dont mean to be a jerk because everything else was perfect, but it was something that i never realized before!!!
During the cocktail hour there was one bartender that treated me like i was sixteen even tho i am twenty three!!! I went up to order a soda and made a comment about the martini bar and she was like 'we card here!' now i know i look young but she didnt have to be nasty about it! she was rude and not very friendly. anyway, when we went into the manor room, there she was! our bartender. by the end of the night, we became friends!!! i like to talk to random people sooo I found something in common with her and i kept her going.
anyway, the westbury manor did a great job and the whole wedding was amazing! the food was great and the grounds are beautiful! Again, sory for being a a little critical .. knowing that im going to have my wedding there next year, i know exactly how i want it to be!!!
