OK who is getting married at crest Hollow in the next few months

Because i just had a big fight with my BM because i want to come in and do a tasting and he was like well i told you you could if you happen to come when an event is going on, and i was like well tell me when something is going on and i will be there. He was being such a jerk, he like wouldn't coordinate anything with me. then he said he would check the calender and call me back. so i am trying to get some dates that i know things are going on !!!

I dont know, your wedding is coming up it looks like , i may tell him i want to do a tasting then! its not like we are asking for a meal, just a few hourderves!

OH NO!

My BM Sharon told me specifically that they don't allow people to come do tastings during events so i think he's full of sh!t! Maybe call or email someone else? or call again another day? Maybe he was just having a bad day

My bm is Sharon - he probably doesn't feel there is any urgency since you booked already and aren't getting married for 8 months..you know?

he was like well we don't have a restaurant so it would have to be during someone else event. it would be in his office.

I just called to see if they are doing a tasting at our final meeting. She said it depends on what is going on that day and what those people picked. They don't make food especially for a tasting which is probably why they want to coordinate.

Exactly. I'm not defending your BM, but they don't have a restaurant kitchen there, they need to make sure that there will be food in house and the equipment turned on when you arrive. Just schedule your appointment when there is an event happening.

I'm not sure who you are working with but I'm working with Eric and he told me the same thing. There is no restaurant so there are no tastings, but we went there in September and they had a bunch of samples of the ch food for us. It's not like they take it away from someone else's wedding - the chef just makes more for you guys which is probably why he had to check the dates for you guys. We ate in Eric's office and the food was sooo good! So was the iced tea and the cookies!

the problem was it didnt seem like he wanted to schedual anything, he wanted it to be more like , if by chance i was there while something was going on then i could taste things. if not too bad. Has anyone else done a tasting?

i think soon2bemrsfox just did one like the weekend after she booked and she booekd for next october so maybe it really is all about being there when an event is going on.

i figured i'd just call sharon a few months before to set it up, but i guess i need to plan ahead now lol

or if any CHCC wants to just invite us all to her wedding, then we can just throw the tasting idea out the window lol.

I'm not getting married at Crest Hollow but I had to do a tasting during an event. A lot of RH's don't have chefs there unless theres an event going on.

I would wait and see if he calls you back.

are you working with leo?!

i booked crest hollow on july 14th and did my food tasting on july 17th. my BM told me that it wasn't a restaurant and that i would have to come in for my food tasting when they had another wedding going on. i don't believe they do them too often though b/c my fiance and i were set up in one of the offices. i don't see why your BM wouldn't tell you when there is an event going on. maybe your BM was in the middle of something or if it's leo, he's just a jerk. leo isn't my BM, but i had an issue with him when i was going to sign my contract. my BM had to get him to approve something that we had previously agreed upon, which was actually the food tasting and the return of my deposit if i didn't like the food, and he refused to sign off on it. thankfully, the food is good.

Seriously speak to someone about him, he should be doing all the work not you!!!! You are paying a great deal of money to get married there!!!! I would complain and see if you could get something in exchange for his attitude problem!!!!!!
