Ok, who wants to make decisions for me?!?

Ok, who wants to make decisions for me?!?

I posted last night that one of my very favorite necklaces broke. I hate being without it, and it was a custom piece I bought from my family jeweler in Manhattan. There's no guarantee that the same problem might reoccur, so I may have to pick out a new piece.

I live in the Smithtown area, so it's usually an hour to and hour and a half drive on a good weather day from my house to the jeweler. (taking the train is not an option - it'll be peak and $$$, and we're pressed for time.)

Here's the dilemma - the jeweler is open 9:30-5:30, M-Sat, EXCEPT this week, she is closed Fri and Sat.

My spring break ends on Easter Sunday, and I have class again starting Monday. FH is a teacher, and he goes back to work on Tuesday, so tomorrow is the ONLY day that I can get there- but I have to be back here to work at 2:30pm.

We'll be cutting it close, and because I never take the LIE or any parkways at that time of the morning, I have no idea how nasty traffic really is.

So I'm pretty much asking if it's worth it for me to go tomorrow with FH (I don't like going alone), and if so, what time should I leave?

If I don't go tomorrow, I can't go again until April 10th (2 saturdays), but my jeweler will be on vacation from the 10th through the 25th. In other words, if I don't go tomorrow, I have to wait more than a month.

Whats the deal w/ the snow?!

Ahhhh someone help me, I'm overwhelmed! Too many things in life to worry about - this shouldn't be added to the list, but it is!!!

TIA

If you have the time and it means this much, go for it.

Re: Ok, who wants to make decisions for me?!?

thanks tania - do I have the time?

Jeweler opens at 9:30.

I have to be back in Smithtown, exit 53 off LIE, by 2:15 the latest.

I need at least 1 hr w/ the jeweler. (FH wants me to look at !)

How long should it take to get there?! I guess it really depends on the weather... I don't even know what time to leave! When would I be catching the tail end of the rush hour? So clueless...

but you say the jeweler is open all day and the both of you are free, right?
In terms of directions, I have no clue, since I don't drive and I don't know much of li.

We are free until 2:15, when I have to be home for work.

Oh this is so not gonna work, but I hate to have to wait a month to 'take care of things'
