They say it matched her measurements she gave them....ummm...this dress is humongous on her and alterations will cost a fortune as she has to get fitted out in Colorado.....

only 1 girl ut of the 5 was close to the size they ordered for her...this is sooo aggravating!!!!!

And the one 1 girl who was close, needs the top taken in, and they said its not going to sit on her shoulders..it will be a little off them... when they take tge dress in..its only about a 1/2 inch..where they should take it out of the back were the zipper is...I think I am going to be very unhappy with it....

I am soo aggravated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people have told me that when they order the dresses too big, it is a scam so that you have to pay for the alterations. Food for thought.

They did that to my bridesmaid too. She was a size 0 and they ordered her a size 10.

Every one of my girls needs their dress taken in A LOT! So I know your pain. I had them measured at a local tailor and ordered their dresses according to the company's chart and they're all too big. One of my BM is a size 2-4 and they ordered her a 10. I doubt it was to make money on alterations because they knew we weren't ahving them altered at the salon.

When salons order their sizes are larger than normal sizes. I had to order a 'bridal' size 8, which is actually a 2/4 in regular sizes. I actually had to get an 8 also because my bust mearurement called for it. Had I ordered a 6 I would not have been able to zip the dress past my top. I still would have needed alterations at my waist and hips though. I think a way to help ensure that you get the correct size is to look at the book they are referring to when they take your measurements and decide size. This way you can see why they are ordering you that particular size. If you refer to the measurements you can call them on it if they try to order you a size that is too large for you for no reason. The best way to avoid a mix up or disaster is to ask loads of questions. A good honest salon will have no problem answering them for you. Good luck!

okay well when you dont have the girls in front of you to determine sizes that's what is going to happen the bridal shops usually take measurments then go by the measurments for that company. if the girls are not there they also cannot try the sample dress on either to see how that fits compared to the measurments. at some places the 'ordering a bigger size in order to charge the max alter' is the thing to do. not at all bridal shops i think they would rather not have that trouble to do the alter at all dont you think?????
