Ugh, sounds like what my dad did. He told me to send one more invite to his girlfriend's son and his girlfriend, because they said they'd like to come......WHAT? Who does that????

I told my dad they'd go on the b-list with the other 30 people that I'd like to invite if I get enough no responses.

that would annoy me too. i wouldnt let her invite more ppl after the fact, just cause 2 ppl said they couldnt come. and she shouldnt be inviting other guests verbally without checking with you and your FH first! either your or your FH should tell her (again) that you guys are in control of the list. she slipped up in inviting those other 2 people, her mistake.

Everyone seems to be inviting people to our wedding without telling tell us..lol..I would be a annoyed as well but dont let it cause any added stress....

i'd be super-annoyed as well ...

she probably assumed that since 2 people from HER list (FH's list) said no, that she could find replacements from her side.

obviously that's ridiculous

i wouldn't invite those two people ... you should be surrounded by people you like, not by random people you've never met!!

not sure if this would annoy me. i have a pretty good relationship with my future in-laws though and they've been great about invitations (because my parents are paying everything)... but if i already had a poor relationship with them like you seem to have with FMIL, then this added thing would almost certainly annoy me, too.
