Ok- you advanced scrapbbokers are going to kill me, but
If I have a 12x12 white scrapbook page, and a 12x12 piece of colored paper, and I want the whole page to be that color, what do I use to glue the colored page to the white?
Also, the book I have has the pages in protectors, do you decorate both sides of the same page?
Sorry to be such a beginner.

I usually take out the white piece of paper that comes in the album pages. I make my layout on one side of the paper (whatever color I choose). I do not decorate the other side of the page...I would then just put another layout with the 2 undecorated sides together.
Some people keep the white pages in the protectors inbetween the layouts but that tend to make your album bulky.

I agree with Lisa...I know it feels nice when the LO is on cardstock....but it is unnecessary...I actually just got over this fear...once it is in the album with another one (the way Lisa described) you won't notice the difference

HTH
I basically do the same, but I haven't been taking out the white paper.....maybe that's why my album is a bit more bulky...
I choose the background paper first and work off that for each LO. Then I slide it into the page protector and begin on another piece for the other side.

I'm confused - do you use the white paper the album comes with as the background for your LOs? You don't use thicker cardstock?

so the base is the 12x12 paper? Even though it is so thin?

I usually use 12x12 cardstock...if I want a solid color background, or a patterened paper (even though its thinner than cardstock)
Even if the paper is thin....it doesnt matter because when you put it in the page protector it will be fine.

ok, I always use colored or patterned paper for my backgrounds and work from there. I should just take out the white pieces of paper since they're of no use to me!
