OK...Anyone else sick??

I guess there is something going around but I'm so SICK. Is there something I can take for congestion, coughing, etc...?

Ok..Called the doctor...he said only Robatussin or Tylenol. Nothing else...

I'm just finally getting over a cold myself. Had a cough, sore throat, such a stuffy nose if felt like I was holding my breath thru my nostrils, and sneezing. My doctor said that Sudafed & Tylenol Cold & Cough were good... however, I started going thru some complications, and my doc prescribed Zithromax (I think it's an antibiotic)... and it zapped the cough/sore throat in 2-3 days.

Considering congestion, it's possible that you are NOT sick, but have swollen nasal membranes... similar to having allergies. Apparently, us preggers have more sensitive nasal membranes, and are prone to have a stuffy nose through pregnancy. I'm suffering through that, too. My doc said I can use Afrin, as long as I don't use it more than once a day.

Good luck to sick preggers... button up, drink lots of fluids, and stay away from other sick people. You have to take extra care of you, and the little one now.

I am 19 weeks preggo. And I have had this stuffy nose, cold , allergy or whatever for months now.
I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and he prescribed Zithromax (antibotic) because I had an ear infection and swollen tonsils. I got better but still have a terrible runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes.
My doctor said that Sudafed,Tylenol, Saline nose spray, Robotussin DM and Benedryl are all perfectly safe just not to take too much of them. Take half of the recommended dose.
I've needed all of them so far.............
Nothing gets rid of this cold/allergy.
I have been reading up on it and seems to be very common for pregnant woman!
The only cure is when you give Birth
