Okay all-knowing brides...I need some HM help!

I need suggestions/input. We only have a week to honeymoon....booooooooo....so that has put the kabash on any plans to go to Tahiti.

Our requirements are:
1. It has to be someplace we would never take our children
2. It has to be very romantic
3. A nice mix of seclusion and nightlife
4. Preferably warm and beachy

I would like to stay under $7K b/c we will be going to Tahiti for our year anniversary. I was thinking about Costa Rica or maybe Cabo. Does Cabo have any nightlife? Does anyone have info on either of these 2 places? I'd love some input.

And as an aside, it can't be Cancun, Jamaica or Turks and Caicos. I went to spring breaks there and I just feel that rehashing my spring breaks in my mind while I'm on my HM would be slightly inappropriate! LOL

Any suggestions ladies?

Try looking into Belize. I have been doing research for a future trip and found some great resorts that are in the Belize Keys. Check out Jaguar Reef Lodge and Belize

Oh Belize is AMAZING! I went there 2 summers ago with FH...great time!
What about checking out a Greek Island or even Malta? Somewhere else in Europe?
I wanted to do Seychelles or Maldives, but they are pretty far...how about Bali? Those are places where you'd never take your children and they do have a nightlife! Although, the last 3 I mentioned are pretty far off the map.

I also think Belize is the way to go. When we were researching honeymoon places we really liked the jaguar reef resort. I still want to go there someday along with many other places that we researched!

I would say europe, maybe greece, italy-capri would be nice in italy, or belize like others have suggested.

Or how about aruba or bermuda...ive never been to aruba but alot of ppl love it...ive been to bermuda and i loved it, i thought it was so beautiful and such a great place.

Puerto Rico might be a good choice for you, it has everything you're looking for if you pick the right hotel.

Aruba was our second choice, and it was going to be the Bucuti Beach Resort, which is a little secluded but still close to the action.

Other places we researched & considered and our requirements were the same as yours:

Barbados
St. Lucia
Grand Cayman
Curacao

I liked the idea of Cabo also, but what stopped me was the fact that it's a connecting 8 hour flight both ways and when you only have a week, you want to get there as quickly as possible!!

My best friend went to St. Lucia for a week for her HM and loved it! There are lots of differnt options, hotel wise, and you can def. stay somewhere nice for less than 7K!!! There are all inclusives there, and she said everyone there when she went was a honeymooner. Very romantic, dinner on the beach, massages, etc.

ive herad great things about costa rica. My cousin and co worker went there on their honeymoons.

Puerto rico is als beautiful.

But you want to go some place that you would prob not go to once you have kids., FH and I were talking about this the other night. We might want to do Europe

DH and I went to Cabo earlier this year, there is a great nightlife in Cabo San Lucas. Most of the hotels aren't actually in Cabo San Lucas, they are between San Juan del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas so you can have a mix of both relaxation and nightlife.

St. Lucia is really nice too! I also really liked Barbados.

My vote is hands down for St. Marteen!! It was so beautiful there and there is so much to do. There are resorts there called DiviResorts. Their website is Diviresorts.com. It was so nice there, FH went jet skiing and parasailing. We took a water taxi over to the other part of the island and spent the day shopping. Good luck!!!!

I'd say St. Lucia [we went there...SIMPLY beautifully!] and/or Antigua!

You won't find any kids at those sandals resorts b/c its couples only!

Since you are getting married in November you have to consider a few things---- Hurricanes for one!!!
As for Costa Rica-- my brother went there on his honeymoon & loved it--- I'm not sure about nightlife but if you are into adventure & jungle stuff its perfect.......

Some people suggested Greece --I am of Greek origin & I must say that is a great suggestion--- but in November it could be on the cold side- you wouldn't be lounging on the beach-- that's for sure!

Fh and I were dead set on Cabo but we ran into the same problem about the flights...also we fell in love with one resort and were going to book it and the travel agent told us you can't swim on the beach there because of currents and reefs and all that jazz...we finally booked the Riviera Maya at an Adults Only all Suite Resort called Excellence...Riviera Maya is 30 min outside of Cancun which has a good night life and a couple of hours outside of the Mayan ruins, which is a place I always wanted to go! Look into it! I haven't gone yet but any resort that has a jacuzzi in every room, can't be that shabby! LOL.

greek islands.... but that's just my bias becuase that's what we chose!

it has culture, history, and A LOT of warm beach!

What about St. Barts it is absolutely beautiful and romantic. I travel and it was my most favorite vacation destination.
