Okay Atkins people.....

I've done WW before and lost 60 pounds. Its just not working for me anymore since my main eating problem is VOLUME.

I need VOLUME!!!! So I bought the Atkins book today. I am going to read the whole thing before I start it but I was just wondering if you guys could tell me some things that eat typically everyday.

Looking forward to hearing some sucess stories!

TIA!!!

This is the same reason I'd rather do Atkins than WW. I can't deal with portion control! Who can eat ONE cookie?? No, I want to want the whole bag!

Anyway...
Breakfast is usually a flax seed muffin (search the recipes, I posted it a while ago) with some cream cheese, a bar if I'm running late (I try not to eat too many of them), or if I have the time, some eggs with some combo of mushrooms, onion, or red pepper.

Lunch is usually a salad (lettuce, cukes, cheese, bacon bits) with chicken or turkey and either blue cheese or caesar dressing. Sometimes I'll have tuna, or a bunless burger.

Dinner can be just about anything! Chicken, beef, sausage, etc. I make a mean taco salad too! DH calls it my mock tock. LOL. Depending on what was for breakfast and lunch, I'll have a small salad, or a cup or two of 'legal' veggies.

There also a lot of ideas on these boards for atkins snacks. Pork rinds and jalepeno dip have become DH's best friend!

There is a really awesome site where you can log in what you eat and it will tell you calories, carbs, etc. Its called Fitday.com. It has really helped me track what I'm eating. Just make sure that if you're doing Atkins you go to the left side where it says goals and track your fiber so you can deduct it for 'net' carbs.
I was surprised to see that I have only been eating between 2000 and 2500 calories a day. Feels like much more!!

Hi..

I was in the same position. I lost 40 pounds on WW in a year. Just got bored of it. I switched to atkins and lost another 37 pounds in 5 months. 75 more pounds to go!!!

The menu plan listed above sounds like mine... but I'll add in some pepperoni, cheese, nuts and berries as snacks. (Nuts and berries only after induction!)

Be sure to stay away from lowcarb marketed foods; (or eat them in small quantities) as eating natural is much better than eating preprocessed stuff.
