Okay girls, Can you recommend some REASONABLE priced bands?
I am considering getting a band but FH does not want to spend to much. Can anyone recommend a band that I could look into? But please, Post the price (if you know it) in your reply! Can I get a band for under $3,500? Is it even possible or should I just give it up now?

Re: Okay girls, Can you recommend some REASONABLE priced bands?
Taraalissa,I would not say to give up. Some bands that we looked at were Times Square Orchestra and I think they were about 5500. Also the Skyline Orchestras bands were about 4500. Good luck with your search.

We are getting a larger band and got a great price through A Stan Wiest! He is a vendor on this site, send him an email and he might be able to help you!

we are using Midnight Magic Orchestra. They were most accommodating to our music wishes and are priced right. They are not your typical wedding band.

They are about $6,000 depending on when and where and cocktail music is included. Give them a call. I am sure they will work with you.

Taraalissa- this should make you feel a little better. Bands typically aren't a flat price... but the cost goes up per piece. Most bands have a starting price---and get more expensive. You could get a great band with four-five pieces. Call Times Square Orchestra, Stan Wiest, Ken Gross, Harbour Lights- also post questions to the vendors on the vhb board for the price.

I'm paying $5,000 for Full House, but that includes ceremony and cocktail hour, so if you only need them for the reception they may be lower. You can listen to a few clips on thier website

We are using the band Good Clean Fun for our March Wedding, and since I dont have my wedding planner with me at work right now i cant remember the exact price we are paying but it is under $3500 for sure.there website is www.gcfun.com
good luck on your search, I am sure you can find a band you both love for under $3500
and always bargain for a couple dollars off, if they are free now the chances are they want the gig and will bargain alittle

Re: Okay girls, Can you recommend some REASONABLE priced bands?
Hey Tara,Our band is The Funkestra. www.funkestra.com
They are based in Connecticut and you really have to go see them perform to get an idea of how good they are. The website doesn't do justice! They are very reasonably priced...we're paying 4800 for continous live music (no taped breaks) and a cocktail hour duo. The band is standard 9 pieces including a 3 piece horn section. They gave us the very best price of any of the bands we went to see!
