Okay, have a question with poll.

What do you think of bag pipers at the ceremony. I am debating it. I got a price quote. I am getting married at a church. THe guy will play when guests arrive and when I arrive. THen after the ceremony.

I love the bag pipes! I think its a beautiful idea! I say if you want it, get it. Its your wedding. If you went to a wedding and the person had something you weren't too fond of you wouldn't complain because its their wedding and you respect that, well that is how your guest who aren't bag pipe fans should react. I thinks a great idea and I love scottish and irish music, so I think it'll lovely.

I grew up around the bagpipes so if it is something you want I say go for it. My father plays the bagpipes and that is what he does he plays as people are arriving and leaving the church. I'm having my friends husband play at my wedding b/c obviousy my father will be little busy.

My brother did this and it was amazing!!!! I heard a few guests complain because he was right there during the receiving line. I could have listened to him all night though!

I have not gone to a wedding that had bagpipers in it so I am not sure if I would like them, but if you do then go for it!! Its your wedding!!

I ADORE THE SOUNDS OF BAGPIPES!!

Everytime I hear them it gives me the chills.

We are not doing them because I'm just used to them at Irish or Scottish weddings, and being this is an Italian Puerto Rican wedding, I just feel weird. So we will probably just have trumpeteers or soo....
But if I had any sort of cultural ties to the bagpipes..I'd do them...THEY ARE SOO REGAL!

I am not a big fan, for some reason they remind me of a funeral - but that is only my opinion!!

I love bagpipes and am 1/4 Irish but can't afford any musicians!! If you can swing it, do it. I love personal touches like this!!

Honestly, if this is in line with any family traditions or what have you, then go for it. I'm getting married in a synogogue, so for me personally it wouldn't fit, but if I saw it had someone elses wedding I would like it.

Not into that. I am having a violinist and she also plays the trumpet for before , during, and after the ceremony.

i am using trumpeeters, along the same line as bagpipers- i have always had the image in my mind of them playing as i exited the limo and entered the church- i think if you like it go for it, they are not a ton of money and if it something you will look back and remember positively , go for it! i know i am looking forward to it
