Okay, I got a questuioneirre in the mail in ref. to Jury duty!
Okay, everyone I know is getting these. I am so freaked out. I have never been called before. With my luck I will get called for my honeymoon, we are taking a delayed honeymoon becuase DH is a teacher. Any words of advice? I know u can postpone it once. PS I work in an office with 5 people, I heard that is the only way to get out of it. If I do not go to work I do not get paid.

I filled that out and it took nearly two years before I got drawn.
*Shrug*
Fill it out and see what happens. If you're called you can use the out of town excuse for your honeymoon.
I get paid for days at Jury duty.. so for me I always just let it happen. *shrug* Jury duty NEVER bothers me. It's part of my duty, I guess.
If I had stayed in Queens I couldnt be drawn for awhile. I sat on a criminal case for 2 weeks back in 2001. Then I moved to Nassau, which I believe means since im registered to vote here in Nassau that I can be called up to duty here without the grace I earned in Queens.
