I need to get going on a cake..The only place I've seen that looks reasonable and does nice stuff is Cakes by Mona in LI. However since I don't live on LI there might be some that are also worth checking out.
Also I live in Queens but don't really know of any good ones so Queens girls help too!
I don't wanna go over 500 but want a gorgeous cake!

Have you checked out what your RH offers? Some of them do nice cakes. The only bakery I can recommend is on LI. It's Torta Fina and they have locations in Babylon and Commack, but that's really not anywhere near Queens lol. Also not sure about their pricing for wedding cakes but I can say that their cakes are sooooo delicious, we use them all the time!

I'm booked at Leonards too and plan to see what wedding cake options they have. I'd rather not use an outside bakery in the event that there are any glitches (late deliveries, botched up orders, etc). Its also more $$ to order a cake. I have to call Leonards to find out more info/details on the cake issue.

Leonards cakes are kind of old fashioned. If you want to upgrade it i know a previous bride paid like 450 bucks and they effed it up big time!
SO as a result, I do not trust them...however I will probably still serve their cake but just get a small really nice one to display
