okay so im making my save the date magnets and i dont know what to put on them....
do u put your reception hall name on it? or the town? or the state? do you do first and last names?

It depends on what you want. I have seen some people put their reception halls on it or just the location of their reception hall.

I pretty much just followed the samples I saw online. Check out a few websites and see what's there.
I only used our first names. And I put the location of the reception hall.

We did a plain one - it just said Save The Date Nicole (last name) and Michael (last name) are tying the knot

Really plain and simple we had looked at a few websites - i loved weddinginvitations411.com and we used Diva Couple (it was the only STD with a red haired bride) LOOOOVE it!

we put
edit: we put long island, new york because we currently live out of state for school and we wanted people to realize we were getting married in ny.
the bottom is a link to our wedding website
we sent them with our e-party invites (or announcements) which had our last names on them.
