The prices were what I was looking for and if we don't like it when it is completed, they will refund our deposit.
I really wanted Saturday but with taxes and gratuity it was a bit much, so I think we are going with a Sunday night. Friday I thought might be too hectic with family from NYC coming all the way to Port Jeff in traffic.
Although, Villa's was really reasonable for a Sat. night- I was surprised!
I think I still may look around, only b.c we haven't looked anywhere else.....
One question though... do catering halls 'knock things off' when booking or really 'throw things in' or does anyone know if PJCC or Lombardis does?

Re: Okay... I think I am going to book PJCC
It was pretty straight forward with PJCC and Villas (same owners) but then again I didn't really try to bargain much. The whole process of looking and having to book in the same weekend (live out of state) was a little overwhelming for me. I think we got a lot for our money though.
I think you will be happy with PJCC, I really can't imagine it looking bad.

Beware of the 100% refundable bull. I put a deposit down for June 12, 2005 on March 29. I had concerns about what the inside was gonna look like, and for some reason they couldn't tell me what it was gonna look like (what's that about?) Gina told me oh don't worry b/c you're putting money down sight unseen it will be 100% refundable if you decide you want to change your mind BEFORE it opens on May 1st. Well I changed my mind on April 4th 6 days later. I had to write a letter yadda yadda yadda and today I call and mind you it's been over two weeks they had to credit my credit card and I was told oh you'll only be getting 900.00 back because it was only a full refund if something went wrong with the construction. Moral of the story get EVERYTHING in writing and don't trust ANYONE'S word. Needless to say they put a bad taste in my mouth. Hope you have a better experience.
