Okay I think I've finally decided on a cake topper...

Okay I think I've finally decided on a cake topper...

Can't say I love love love it like the bobbleheads or the cool clay figurines...but like I said don't wanna spend the

So...I think I'll go with this-

here's the version with the groom only wearing the cap (will be changed to Yankees of course )

Or I could go with both of us wearing hats. You can also change hairstyle, gown style, flowers, etc....that brings up the price of course.

Here's one I found of a long-ago LIW bride where she was a Yankees fan and he was a Mets fan

So...whatcha think? Should I splurge and make the hair color closer to my own? Gown style closer to my own? Should I have a baseball cap or no?

I know I'm nuts, but I can't make decisions to save my life! FH thinks it's fine the way it is- blond bride, long sleeve dress...
I'm lame.

Those are great!!! I like the one with hats on both the bride and groom.......and I know you wanted a customized caketopper, so I would at least make one thing similar to how you'll look - since it is symbolizing you and FH. So maybe at least changing the hair color?

I do love how detailed they can make the dress though....... it's ok, FH may think your crazy - but us bride's are allowed to be a bit crazy!

well I figure if I get the one with the hat at least my hair color is sort of camouflaged....so far with shipping, without making hair color/style changes (and I am wearing my hair half up half down), $54.

If I change hair color/style and gown style, it goes up to $82 with shipping.

Maybe I should just change gown style and hair color? That shaves off $10...

I think that's a good idea....... Nobody's going to look at it and say 'OMG, her hairstyle doesn't match' but the hair color and dress style matching will make it very unique.

And of course - post pictures!!!

I love it!!! It is adorable!! I think changing the dress and hair color would look great!!! I would just put the hat on FH. JMO

Well, I ordered it and I got us both wearing hats. I figured, hey, we're both Yankee fans! If it's just on him it looks like I'm only there for the ride.

Yeeeaaa! Their website says they ship it out in a week! I'm so excited!

I just hope I don't regret getting the hat on me... We'll see!

That's a good way to incorporate it into the wedding. I also liked the Yankee tables #'s that were posted a while ago. Of course we would have to do half and half Pain in my butt!!!!

It's really not all that inexpensive....if you keep from customizing other stuff like gown and hair style and just stick with the Mets hats/pennants, it's probably only about $50. Not bad considering all those clay figurines! Those can be $300!! I believe you can change the bride's hair color to brown for nothing! I had to pay $5 for light brown. I also paid $15 extra for a strapless gown. Totally not necessary but I figured, what's another $20 to make it look more like me? Brides are INSANE aren't we?

Tara, it's perfect!!!! I love that you are both going to have the hats on - it makes it more fitting for you and FH. I can't wait to see pics of how it came out.
